The original Bodhi Tree Concerts series was founded in San Diego in 2011 by Walter and Diana DuMelle.  They had a vision that, by giving talented, local musicians a venue for performance and then donating the profits to a different charity with each concert, high quality musical performance could also serve a social good.  To that end, Bodhi Tree Concerts held its first concert in March of 2012, and has been bringing its unique combination of music and social justice to the public ever since.  In the Spring of 2013, Bodhi Tree Concerts graciously gave their approval to the founding of a sister series in the Bay Area, which became Bodhi Tree Concerts North.  We at BTCN are pleased to be part of such a profound, simple and revolutionary undertaking.
